KLS Fuerte has had quite an extraordinary life; she is a teacher, a senior leader, linguist and
now the writer of the novel ‘Never saw you coming’.
Who is KLS Fuerte really?
“K is for Kiki, that’s me, this is how my friends and family call me. L is for London and S is for
the initials of my children. Then, the children and I, together, we are ‘Fuerte’ which means
‘strong’ in Spanish because I love languages and I teach languages!
Born and raised in Guadeloupe, Kiki is a French and Creole native speaker who went on to
study in France and England. At the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris, Kiki studied English
and American Literature, before getting her Master’s Degree in American Literature. Later in her
life, Kiki then went to Oxford University, graduating as a modern language teacher.
At this event, Kiki will share her experience on becoming a published writer and why she
decided to write her novel in the first place. Not to mention, she will also be reading a few
extracts of her book: ‘Never saw you coming.’
Kiki is very much looking forward to discussing her book and any questions you have, about her
fascinating journey from university student to becoming an author.
