Event report
The Midlands Network’s first AGM since its formation last April, was held at Polish Millennium House, in the centre of Birmingham.
The draft minutes are now available for all network members, summarising the formal and informal business of the day. Committee member Graeme Hunter, MCIL opened the AGM by welcoming 15 attendees who had come from a variety of places including Nottingham and Melton Mowbray.
The venue was very fitting and provided the attendees with an opportunity to view photographs of the history of Millennium House, which was constructed in 1962 to mark the 1000th anniversary of Christianity in Poland. The Polish centre, as it is also known, provides a range of activities for Birmingham’s Polish community, focussing on culture and Christian values.
Programme
AGM from 12:00pm-1.00pm followed by lunch in nearby Polish restaurant, The Karczma.
Coffee and biscuits will be on offer at the AGM, but attendees are asked to pay for their own lunch at the restaurant.
